QUEEN's UNIVERSITY COMPUTING ORIENTATION

# PUBLICATIONS
CHAIR

my role
orientation is one of the most important experiences as an incoming student. after having such a wonderful time, making lifelong friends that are now my housemates, and expanding my network, i knew queen's o-week was something i needed to be a part of.

in my second year, i was a orientation leader! i loved helping first year student's through their transition so much, that i continued on to be one of the nine orientation executives in my third year.

being a chair responsible for over 300 students and 70 leaders was a large jump. i developed strong management skills that i continue to apply when taking on leadership positions.

MY TECH COMMITEE
tech committee, known as "TC", are my 9 executives that i worked alongside to create this experience. the logo with the letters "T" and "c" was designed by me, along with all other orientation graphics.

on top of my various leadership responsibilities, i was in charge of our social media, merchandise, promotional material, edited introduction videos, and the handbook.

THE HANDBOOK
each faculty is responsible for creating a faculty 'handbook' to further assist with their transition. it includes useful content such as messages from faculty members, a labelled campus map, a timeline of orientation activities, and more!

the handbook was my biggest project as publications chair. i designed, gathered information and content entirely on my own.
